A fixed-income security. Generally, the interest rate is fixed, with an amortization period of more than two years. If the interest rate can fluctuate, it is a variable-interest bond. Spanish debt bonds are issued by the Public Treasury for a maturity of more than five years (for example, currently, they are issued for ten, fifteen, and thirty years) and for nominal values of one thousand euros and multiples of this amount.
